The JSEB of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business (JSEB) that has demonstrated excellence in business growth, community impact, and commitment to continuous improvement. This award honors a JSEB company that exemplifies entrepreneurial resilience, leadership, and innovation.

The following criteria for the nominees:

• Business Growth & Performance (30%)
  • Demonstrates revenue growth, business expansion, or increased market presence.
  • Effectively manages contracts and business operations.
  • Maintains a positive reputation within the business community.
• Community Engagement & Impact (25%)
  • Actively participates in community service or mentorship programs.
  • Contributes to the local economy by creating jobs or supporting other small businesses.
  • Engages in corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Commitment to Entrepreneurial Development (25%)
  • Utilizes JSEB resources such as training, mentorship, or financial programs.
  • Shows dedication to professional development and business education.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and continuous improvement in business practices.
• Leadership & Innovation (20%)
  • Exhibits strong leadership within the company and the business community.
  • Implements innovative strategies, products, or services.
  • Overcomes challenges with resilience and strategic thinking.
